The mix between pulsating beats, smooth vocals, and enticing lyrics has been attempted by many. However, there are few that can pull it off with success. The New Zealand based duo, Broods, is one of those exceptions. While Lorde put New Zealand on the map, Broods is solidifying that it is a potential hotbed for good music. Their sound could be compared to a haunted kaleidoscope that keeps you frozen in place while the music creates a world of its own.
Broods is a brother-sister duo,comprised of Caleb Nott and younger sister Georgia Nott. Caleb is the group’s main instrumentalist while Georgia provides the lead vocals. They were formed in August of 2013 and have been performing together since they were kids. Their unique style and enchanting vibes are only a few reasons why Broods is the Press Play group of the week.
