RSU baseball players, Andrew Vanisi and Blake Gipson, continue to rack up post-season honors. Vansisi was named Heartland Conference Newcomer of the Year, and was also named to the All-Conference first team as an outfielder. Vanisi led the Heartland conference in home runs with 12, and finished with a strong .373 batting average. Gipson earned second team All- Conference honors as a designated hitter after he hit for a .359 batting average in 36 starts. The Tulsa native also recorded a 12-game hit streak to finish off his career at Rogers State.

The RSU track and field team closed out its inaugural season by competing in the Shocker Invitational this past weekend. Hailey GIllispie picked up an event title by winning the 800 meters with a time of 2 minutes & 23 seconds. Audrianna Morgan posted her best time of the year in the 100 meters with a time of 12.37 seconds placing her sixth in the event, and she also finished third overall in the 200 meters. Christi Dougherty was the top Hillcat runner in the 1500 meters by finishing in 5 minutes 6 seconds placing her sixth overall in the event.
