Yuck’s new album, titled Stranger Things, will dissolve new listener’s inhibitions into a puddle of appreciation of artistic craft. The band released their third album on February 26th of this year. The album cover depicts an out of this world creature dissolving into a comfortable seat.  This image is indicative of what experience listeners can expect from Stranger Things. Yuck provides an out of this world sound that listeners will find extreme ease settling into. RSU Hillcats Take Heartland Conference Title

The RSU Hillcats Men’s Basketball team took home the Heartland Conference regular season championship. The team sealed the league title with a win against Dallas Baptist on Monday night.. The win came in the dramatic fashion, mimicking something you might see in the movies. RSU senior guard, Donald Moore, hit a three pointer with just 2 seconds left in the second overtime period of the last game of the year. RSU Athletics Update

RSU baseball players, Andrew Vanisi and Blake Gipson, continue to rack up post-season honors. Vansisi was named Heartland Conference Newcomer of the Year, and was also named to the All-Conference first team as an outfielder. Vanisi led the Heartland conference in home runs with 12, and finished with a strong .373 batting average. Gipson earned second team All- Conference honors as a designated hitter after he hit for a .359 batting average in 36 starts. Hillcat Athletes Receive Accolades

During the month of February Hillcat athletes have acquired several accolades. J.C. Hartzler  received the honor of being selected for the Capitol One All-District Men’s basketball team. The junior guard leads the Hillcats in scoring by averaging 14.6 points per game and carries a 3.8 grade point average while majoring in Applied Technology. Hillcat senior basketball player, Frederico Santos, was named Heartland Conference player of the week after breaking the RSU record for rebounds in a season. Jason Aldean’s Night Train Tour Review

Jason Aldean rocked a near capacity crowd at the BOK Center on Friday, May 10th that featured several number 1 songs, loud guitars; and an onslought of video screens that doled out imagery pertaining to each song. Arlis “Moon”, rising with the stars.

For Arlis Moon, writing music and playing instruments comes naturally whether it’s drums, guitar, piano, bass and even singing. That talent has allowed him to take part in several projects including solo recordings, playing with the band Rangeline, and taking part in a national tour. Most recently, Moon returned to his hometown of Tahlequah, Ok following the tour “Nothing to Something” with Plug In Stereo, WheatherStar and Bird by Bird. Emerging local artist, Amanda Byers

Stirring up Tulsa’s music scene is local songwriter, singer, and guitar player, Amanda Byers.
