Want to see some good basketball? The RSU Athletics staff will take on the Claremore Community all-stars at the “William W. Barnes Children’s Advocacy Center Charity Basketball Game” on Sunday beginning at 2pm at the Expo Center. The Children's Advocacy Center is a non-profit, United Way Agency whose mission is to reduce the trauma of child abuse. The Center provides forensic interviews, medical evaluations and mental health treatment in a safe, child-friendly environment. Dr. Martin Luther King….Remembered

A number of events are scheduled around January 21st as the Claremore-Tulsa market remembers Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for his beliefs in nonviolent activism and the Civil Rights Movement. Rogers State University in Claremore will kick off the day with an opening ceremony beginning at 10am in the Centennial Center ballroom. Readings from some of his famous speeches will be tribute along with spiritual song being performed by the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Choir of Tulsa. RSU to co-sponsor Tulsa Symphony Chamber Concert

You have a chance to enjoy two of the Tulsa Symphony's chamber ensembles when they perform at the Will Rogers Auditorium on the RSU campus Saturday, January 19th. Tickets are $5.00 per person and students get in free with their ID. The event begins at 7:30pm. The two ensembles being featured will be the Brass and String Quintets. Turbo receives Certificate of Merit

Gary “Turbo” Webb of RSU Radio’s Metal Meltdown and Midnight Metal Meltdown has been awarded a “Citation of Merit” from OK State Senator Sean Burrage congratulating his recent award as “Specialty Music Director of the Year” at this year’s College Music Journal (CMJ) Convention in New York City. Residential Life Offers Food Pantry for Students

RSU’s Residential Life is sponsoring a food pantry to provide campus residents in need the opportunity to get food they are unable to buy due to financial hurdles. Any student who lives on campus may take advantage of this program, known as "Food for Thought." Donations can be brought to the Residential Life Clubhouse Monday through Thursday 8A -10P and Friday 8A to 5P. Looking for a unique Christmas gift? RSU’s annual Holiday Student Show and Sale may have just what you’re looking for. RSU “lights up” for annual Holiday on the Hill

Rogers State University will celebrate the beginning of the holiday season with its annual "Holiday on the Hill" on Tuesday, November 27th in front of Preparatory Hall. The ceremony will begin at 5:30pm and is free to the public. The campus lighting ceremony will feature performances of holiday classics, a reading of "'Twas the Night before Christmas" and opportunities for children to have their photo taken with Santa Claus. Rogers State University has launched a new initiative to reconnect with alumni who have lost touch with their alma mater. The "Stray Cat Campaign" will utilize the RSU website,RSU Radio website, social media, direct mail and the ever-growing RSU alumni network to locate and welcome back lost alumni.
