An Insider’s Look at College Life

Destination RSU promises to give you the inside scoop on Rogers State University Saturday, October 12th during an open house that caters to the college curious. Jam Band Returns!

Jam Band is coming back to Rogers State University! Jam Band will return this week on Friday at 7PM in the Will Rogers Auditorium at RSU. This marks the 6th year since the last time the event was hosted. It took 25 years, but yesterday, September 24th, “Weird Al” Yankovic came back to Tulsa and spent the day at Rogers State University meeting students, being interviewed on RSU Radio and promoting the 25th anniversary of his movie “UHF”, as well as his second children’s book. RSU to host 4th annual Art on the Hill

It’s not every day the campus of Rogers State fills up with artists, performers, and musicians from around Green Country, but that’s exactly what’s happening at the 4th annual Art on the Hill Festival. September 20th and 21st will feature an array of different artists showing off their work, from sculpting, painting, and wood crafting to live demonstrations, music, and theatre. “Original Recipe” returns to RSU in September

Original works written and directed by RSU students and faculty will be presented as part of the threatre program’s “Original Recipe” September 19th – 21st, 25th & 26th. Performances will begin at 7:07pm and also at 4pm Sept. 20th and 21st as part of RSU’s Art on the Hill art show and sale. Bell’s is Back!

Bell’s Amusement Park is returning! At least that’s what owner Robbie Bell has been working on over the past few years and now an actual reopening sometime in the near future seems surer than ever. Since Bell’s was forced to close its doors in 2006, Bell has been trying to find ways to drum up the money and support to reopen the park in its former glory. Art in Italy Exhibit Shows Off Student Work

The latest RSU Art Exhibit will demonstrate over 40 works, all inspired by 12 student artists who had the opportunity to travel to Italy this summer as part of RSU’s Studies-at-Large program in Montone. The exhibit, in the Foundations Gallery of Baird Hall, runs through August 30th and will feature art in the form of photography, paintings and drawings. Guthrie Green Reopens With Full Schedule

Tulsa’s downtown park, Guthrie Green, has taken a few weeks off for some maintenance after the super successful Center of the Universe Festival, but reopened last week for the Brady District’s monthly First Friday Art Crawl. The park has also scheduled plenty of sure to be popular events to round out the summer. Every Thursday night is movie night at the Green and this month’s selections include Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Grease.
