Established in 1996, Buena Vista Social Club was an ensemble of retired Cuban musicians.

However, no one could predict what happened next.

In just six days they recorded their self-titled album in Havana, Cuba. The album contained 14 songs and was released on September 17, 1997. The album won them a Grammy and sold over one million copies.

Buena Vista Social Club recently released an unreleased track from their self-titled album. The single is called “Vicenta” and is a duet between Eliades Ochoa and Compay Segundo.

To celebrate the album’s 25th anniversary, five unheard songs and remastered songs will be released  on September 17, 2021.
