Olivia Rodrigo Spills Her Guts on Sophomore Studio Album

Olivia Rodrigo has made an announcement regarding her forthcoming sophomore album, following her successful debut in 2021 with Sour. The upcoming album, titled GUTS, is scheduled to be released on September 8th through Geffen Records. Rodrigo will be releasing the first single, titled “Vampire,” this Friday, June 30th.

Earlier this month, Rodrigo shared the news of “Vampire,” which marks her first solo single since Sour. She collaborated once again with Daniel Nigro, who also worked on her debut album, to create the song and many more from GUTS.

Describing her new album, Rodrigo expressed that it revolves around the concept of growing pains and the process of self-discovery. In a statement, she mentioned, “I feel like I underwent a significant transformation between the ages of 18 and 20—a period filled with intense awkwardness and change. I believe this is a natural part of personal growth, and I hope the album reflects that sentiment.”
