Singers who are aspiring to become the next big thing can put their talents to the test as American Idol makes its way to Oklahoma City’s Chesapeake Energy Arena on July 18th through the 20th. The singing competition’s producers and famous judges are looking for fresh faces for season 12, which will begin airing on FOX early next year. RSU Theatre Director’s Play Adaptation at Tulsa PAC

RSU’s Theatre Director David Blakely has an exciting week ahead of him as his adaption of "Hank the Cowdog and Monkey Business" opens at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center. Blakely’s adaptation of the children’s book can be seen Thursday, June 21st through Sunday the 24th. Presented by Tulsa Repertory Musicals, Hank the Cowdog and Monkey Business follows Hank and his best friend Drover as they discover a mysterious red box on their ranch containing a strange monkey. 34th Annual Black Gold Days

Glenpool celebrates a historic local event with the 34th annual Black Gold Days. The event celebrates Glenpool’s discovery of oil in 1905 and is held at the fittingly named Black Gold Park. The celebration includes a carnival, live music, a parade, and the all-new Mr. and Miss Black Gold Pageant. Black Gold Days opens on the June 14 with a carnival and the new pageant. RSU Choir: Spring is in the Air!

Spring is in the air, and so are the talented voices of the Rogers State University Choir. You can hear these talented vocalists at “Swing into Spring: A Choral Concert” on Tuesday the 24th at 7:30 in RSU’s Baird Hall Performance Studio.
