Wilco Return With Surprise Album “Star Wars”

Press Play: Wilco: STAR WARS              It’s been awhile since the world has heard from the Chicago sextet Wilco. Their latest album “Star Wars” has taken most by surprise. Oklahoma Musician Tom Skinner Dies at 61

Tom Skinner, an Oklahoma music mainstay, and red dirt pioneer has passed away. Skinner helped to develop the red dirt scene sound in the late 1970s. Since then, he has toured, recorded, and written music on a consistent basis. He spent a brief stint playing bass in Garth Brooks' band. Most recently he played a weekly Wednesday Night Science Project, inviting local musicians to perform with him. OK Mozart Returns to Bartlesville

Rise Up at the Rock

Rise Up At The Rock Music Festival is at the Hanging Rock Camp in Tahlequah, OK. RSU Athletics Update

The Rogers State cheerleading squad is heading to Daytona Beach,FL to compete in the National Cheerleader Association’s Collegiate Cheer and Dance competition. The team will be performing a routine that consists of: tumbling, stunting, dance, and motions choreographed by music. The routine is 2 minutes and 15 seconds of skill and endurance. Teams will be judged on degree of difficulty, perfection of routine and overall impression. PressPlay: Montropo

Currently working out of Denver, Colorado, Montropo, brings a smooth, well-developed sound to the airwaves of RSU Radio. Montropo is the stage name for Andres Diaz, a singer/songwriter who grew up in Austin, TX. Diaz moved to Denver in order to hone his musical sound. His debut album, "Follow Me", is reminiscent of the powerful folk songs from the 1960s. Modest Mouse Announce OK Tour Date, Share New Song

Modest Mouse have announced a number of tour dates for their upcoming tour, which supports their new album Strangers to Ourselves, the band's first album release since 2007. The popular Seattle indie group will be in Oklahoma City on April 24th at the Diamond Ballroom. Their last tour stop in Oklahoma was in 2009, which was also at the Diamond Ballroom. The new album is due out March 17th.
